The Editions department at Phillips de Pury & Company offers prints and objects produced in an edition spanning the 20th thru 21st Centuries. Modern and Contemporary printmakers come together under one integrated catalogue twice a year. Attention is paid to 20th Century modern masters who set the stage for the newer artists to come, and artists currently creating today's relevant graphic works of art. The department is based on the understanding of collector's different needs to cross various boundaries with artists, time periods and styles. Auctions take place the week after the New York Contemporary painting sales (May and November) in order to take advantage of the momentum these sales generate. Our inaugural sale will be held on 21 May 2008. The department also handles private sales and different forms of advising and appraising.
